Just as soon as summer arrives, it seems that it's already fall
again! Yes, our music programs will again be in full swing very
soon, starting with the
Chancel Choir
on August 8th! Please come join us for our first rehearsal of the
fall - on Wednesday, August 8th at 7:30 PM in the choir room.
Any
budding handbell ringers? We will teach you, and it's a lot of
fun.
Bells of Praise
resumes rehearsals on Wednesday, September 5th at 6:30 PM in the
Sanctuary.
Youth Choir,
get your voices warmed up, as we will begin meeting on Sunday nights
as part of SWAM on Sunday, September 9th at 4:00 PM in the Choir
Room.
Everyone mark your calendars for
Sunday, October 21.
We will celebrate the 300th birthday (the "Tercentary") of
Charles Wesley,
a leader in the Methodist movement and the brother of John Wesley.
What would congregational singing be, without hymns such as "Christ
the Lord is Risen Today", "And Can It Be?", "Come, Thou
Long-Expected Jesus", and "O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing", just
to name a few?
